Biography

George was born in January 1871 in Soulbury, the son of Martha and Joseph (mothers maiden name Foskett).

He grew up in Soulbury but by 1891 was living in Wolverton where he worked as a smiths labourer.

And by 1901 he had moved to Leeds, where he had married Elizabeth West in 1898.

In 1911 they were living in Adel with three children, and George was working as a cowman.

The 1939 Register says that George was a retired market gardener.

He died in 1941.
