Andrew Orcutt, son of William[1] and Mary Martha (Lane) Orcutt of Marshfield, Scituate and Bridgewater, was baptized at Scituate (now Norwell) 24 Mar. 1667;[1] mentioned in his father's will in 1694.
He married, near 1692, Frances Ward, the mother of his eight children. She was the daughter of Henry and Remember (Farrow) Ward, born at Hingham, 18 Feb. 1670-71. Widow Orcutt, probably the widow of Andrew, died at Weymouth, 30 Apr. 1712.[2]
Children of Andrew and Frances (Ward) Orcutt born at Weymouth:
Andrew,3 b. 21 July, 1693;[3][4] d. 11 Mar. 1704-05.
Remember, b. 1706;[16][17] probably m. 28 Dec. 1724, in Boston, Abraham Shaw.
In Lincoln's History of Hingham it states that Andrew died 18 Aug 1695/69 in Hingham.[18] In 1712, his wife was listed as "Widow Orcutt".[19] This is incorrect, as Andrew fathered several children after this date.
