DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Thomas by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Thomas:
Hi, Trying to find a source for the removal to Maine. It seems that this Thomas would be the best candidate to be the Thomas Orcutt of Hingham, who married widow Margaret (Ray) Sutton of Scituate in 1744.
So I've added a citation for a probate record which shows that he actually died in 1749 in Boston. Administration of his estate was assigned to his son Thomas Sutton of Higham. The division of real estate names all the children. Any objections to updating the death info for Thomas and his wife Jane (who probably did not die in Maine). The removed info can be added to a research note section.
