Nanine was born in 1856. She was the daughter of Hamilton Ormsby and Edmonia Taylor. ^{[1] [2] [3]}

She married on 28 May 1879 at Jefferson County, Kentucky to Robert W. Herr ^[4] and they had children: ^{[5] [6] [7]}

Nanine passed away in 1938 ^[8] and is buried at Cave Hill Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky. ^[9]
