Born 22 FEB 1807. Aylesford, Kings County, Nova Scotia, Canada. [1]

Died 19 MAY 1884. Fort Fairfield, Aroostook County, Maine USA. Note: He died in the home of his son Phylander Chase Orpin.[2]

Note: Thomas Orpin was a school teacher - spoke seven different languages - but due to ill health gave it up for farming and carpentering.
