Adah Louise Brown 1924-2001 Adah Louise Brown of Craig, died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2001, at The Memorial Hospital. She was 76.
On Dec. 27, 1924, in Kit Carson she was born the daughter of Harry and Ruba (Lichtenhan) Orr. She has lived in Craig for 76 years. She came to Isles Grove and homesteaded on Collem Creek 40 miles southwest of Craig. She owned and operated a restaurant for many years. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, gardening and crocheting.
Brown is survived by daughters Sidney Kay (Gary) Price of Orem, Utah and Sandra (Larry) Tinsley of Liberal, Kan., sister Dorothy White of Yakima, Wash., brother Eugene Orr of Blanding, Utah; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband James McAfee.
Services were held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, 2001, at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Chapel. Burial was at the Craig Cemetery.
She was a kind and generous person, helping many in need. Her kindness and compassion to all she knew will be greatly missed.
