BURIAL Highland Cemetery Glenford, Perry County, Ohio, USA
n my reseach of the family it has become apparient that Harriet was a very strong willed women. I will try to tell some of the tales I learned of:
" The men didn't come into the house until they had washed up"
"If Dennis or the boys had been drinking they slept in the barn that night. The story continues that their was a nice room in the barn."
"When Dennis died and was buried at Highland Cemetery, she insisted that her baby daughter, Florence, be moved from Good Hope to Highland to be with her and Dennis."
"After Dennis passed she maintained control of the farm until her death."
"One I conld not confirm but sounds likely is that she had Walter learn the undertaker business."
"In her will Walter's share was put in Blanche's name."
