Biography

Felipe Ortega was born on 26 May 1903 in Losoya, Bexar County, Texas. His parents were Jesus Ortega and Maria Huron. He received the sacrament of Baptism on 21 Jul 1903 in St. Carmen Catholic Church, Losoya, Bexar County, Texas.^[1]

The 1910 United States Census cited Felipe Ortega as the son of Jesus Ortega. Felipe was seven (7) years old and born in Texas. His estimated birth year was 1903. Event Date: 18 May 1910. Event Place: Justice Precinct 6, Bexar County, Texas.^[2]

Felipe married Maria Casillas, the daughter of Felix Soloman Casillas and Maria Guadalupe Calderon. They were united in Holy Matrimony on 27 Jun 1925 in Bexar County, Texas.^[3]

Felipe and Maria had the following children:
