Marie Joseph Matilde Ortega, daughter of Joachin Ortega and Marie Damassene Soto, was bornon 10 March 1790 and baptized on 21 Oct. 795, her birth and baptism were recorded at St. Landry Catholic Church, Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.[1]
She married Joseph Philippe LaRose Fontenot, son of Joseph LaRose Fontenot and Magdelaine Hayes, on 21 Nov. 1803, their marriage was recorded at St. Landry Catholic Church, Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.[1]
Marie died before 6 Sep. 1866 the date of her succession in St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.[1]
