Biography
William Orton was born in 1597 in Twycross, Leicestershire. and was baptised on 27 November. He is the son of Richard Orton and Eleanor Mascall. [1]
William was a Haberdasher who lived in Ludgate Street, London.
He was co-trustee of his nephew, Richard Orton BA (1629-abt.1690) who inherited Lea Grange aged 5 yrs in 1634 when William's brother, Richard Orton BA (1596-1634) died. He is shown on the pedigree in the Visitation to London of 1634. [2]
