Biography

Richard was born in 1587. His grandfather, Peter Osborn didn't acquire the manor of Chicksands until 1587 when it was conveyed by fine to Peter Osborn and John his son by Edward Snowe and Emma his wife; and in 1592, on the death of Peter, it passed to his son John.[1] It seems doubtful that Richard was born at Chicksands.

A less than satisfactory source [2] shows him as son of Sir John, but he isn't mentioned by name in his father's 1626 will, although he might be caught under the term "younger brethren", the implication being that there were sons younger than the named Peter and Christopher[3]

Arrival 1624 • Virginia

He passed away before 1633.

Osborn-4120 and Osborn-100 appear to represent the same person because: Same birth, same parents. Sparse citations only show them as having one son named Richard.

Please make , or allow me to make, some changes here: it is sourced by a valid AF# but the 2 sons by the same name should be either merged or one removed from this father. Thanks

It appears 332 & 100 should be merged
