Biography

Kathleen Amy May OSBORN was born on the 29th July 1908 to Albert OSBORN and Myrtle May HOWARD in Rose Park, South Australia.

She married Alan Edward Charles HEWETT on the 22nd April 1927. Alan passed away on the 22nd August 1932 at the age of 22.

Skull Fractured In Clarence Park Motor Smash
Alan Edward Charles Hewett, 22, corporal farrier, employed at Keswick military barracks, was admitted to the Adelaide Hospital yesterday suffering from a fractured skull. His condition is serious.
He was riding a motor cycle at 7 o'clock yesterday morning, and when at the corner of East avenue and George street, Clarence Park, came into collision with a motor lorry, driven by Leonard Oswald Spencer, of Essex street, Goodwood. Hewett crashed to the ground and was jammed against the kerb, with his cycle on top of him. He was taken to the hospital in the Unley City ambulance.[1]
HEWETT.—On the 22nd August, at Adelaide Hospital, Alan Edward Charles Hewett, beloved husband of Kathleen Amy Hewett, of 61, George street, Clarence Park, and eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Hewett, Glandore. aged 22 years.
HEWETT.—On the 22nd August, at Adelaide Hospital, Allan Eddie Hewett, dearly loved son of Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Hewett, of Railway terrace, Glandore (result of accident).
HEWETT.—On the 22nd August, at Adelaide Hospital, Allan Edward Charles Hewett, dearly loved husband of Amy Hewett, and father of Betty Hewett (result of accident).[2]

Alan and Kathleen had a daughter, Kathleen Betty Hewett, on the 20th September 1927.

HEWETT—USHER.—The engagement has been announced of Kathleen Betty, eldest daughter of Mrs. L. C. Klenk and the only daughter of the late A. E. C. Hewett, of South Plympton, to John, third son of Mr. F. W. Usher and the late Mrs. R. Usher, of Goodwood.[3]

She married Leslie Christian Klenk in 1941.

She passed away on the 5th November 1970 in Adelaide, South Australia, Australia. [4]
