Grace (Osborne) Thomas was born in Cornwall, England.

Grace Osborn was baptised 1828 Uny Lelant

She was a servant for an Innkeeper at Treleweth, St Erth in 1851 as was her sister Margaret Osborne (28) from St Levan.

She married Peter Thomas (miner) on 25 September 1851 at Ludgvan, in the Penzance district. Fathers Peter Thomas (miner) and Naboth Osborne; Witnesses Mary Ann Polgrean & Gideon W Semmens. [1] Banns published on 7th, 14th & 21st September. [2]

Son Richard was Baptised at St Ives, Cornwall in 1858, Peter & Grace lived in Canon's Town, Ludgvan. [3]

In 1859 a miner was found guilty of “on the 30th of January, having broken and entered the dwelling house of Peter Thomas , at Ludgvan, and stolen the sum of 12.” [Royal Cornwall Gazette, 25 March 1859] On 7 April 1861 the Thomas family lived in Canons Town, Ludgvan, Cornwall, England. [4] Peter Thomas (34) Tin Dresser with wife, Grace Thomas (32) and children Mary Thomas (4), Richard Thomas (2) & Tobias Thomas (9/12).

On 2 April 1871 the Thomas family lived in St Ives, Cornwall, England. [5] Peter Thomas (44) Tin Dresser with wife Grace Thomas (42) and children Elizabeth Thomas (18) Dressmaker, Mary Thomas (15), Richard Thomas (11), Tobias Thomas (9), Peter Thomas (7/12) and sister Margaret Osborn (50).

In 1881 the Thomas family lived in Wheal Trenwith Place, Ludgvan, Cornwall, England. [6] Peter Thomas (54) Tin Dresser (Employing 4 Boys & 3 Girls) and wife Grace Thomas (53) with children Elizabeth Thomas (25) Dressmaker, Mary Thomas (23) Dressmaker, Tobias Thomas (19) Tin Dresser & Peter Thomas (10).

Peter died 10 June 1898 at Ludgvan. In 1901 Grace 72 was a widow living with unmarried daughter Mary 42 and grandchildren Richard 12 and Mary 8 both from St Ives.

Grace died in 1904.
