Cynthia was born in 1854. She passed away in 1925

Cynthia was the daughter of Alfred and Charity Stamper Osborne. She married John Wesley Shearer on July 16, 1874, in Garrard County. He was the son of Henry and Elizabeth Preston Shearer. They were the parents of twelve children, with eleven living. Their children were: One unknown child who passed away prior to 1900; William, Luke, Nancy Shearer Carrier, Henry, Frank, Mary Rebecca Shearer Shears, Melvin, Omer, Clarence and Jesse Shearer. John Shearer passed away between the birth of their last child in 1897 and prior to the 1900 census, where Cynthia was listed as a widow.

She remained widowed and head of her household for many years. She wed Simp Loman, who was 16 years her junior, on January 25, 1906 at Stanford. There were no children born of this marriage. She passed away in Lincoln County, on the date above, and was laid to rest at Mt. Hebron Cemetery on April 28, 1925
