Lewis Post married Rebecca (Wilkin) Osgood, marrying around 1866[citation needed] and having six children together. They made their home in Lodi, where they farmed.[3][4] The family later moved to Covert, New York.[5][6] In 1907, Lewis sold a plot of land to Wilmer Farr[7] and another to Maggie Farr in 1908.[8][9][10][11]
Just before his death, Lewis deeded some or most of his land to his son, Abram.[12] Lewis Osgood passed away in Covert, New York[13] at the age of 80 and is buried at Grove Cemetery in Trumansburg, New York.[14]
