Esther Carolyn Kiner, 78, a resident of the Bethany Nursing Home, died Thursday in Sioux Valley Hospital. Esther Ostrom was born July 26, 1905 in Sioux Falls. She married Carl Kiner December 28, 1927*, in Marshall, Minn. Her husband died in 1959. She was employed as a bookkeeper for Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa for many years before retiring in 1975. She moved to Sioux Falls in 1976. Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Albrecht, Osage, Iowa; two grandchildren; and two sisters: Mrs. Kathryn Rogness, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Mrs. Louise Kruk, Scottsdale, Ariz. Services will begin at 1:30 p.m. today in Christ the Victor Chapel in the First Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls.
