DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships by comparing test results with Valerie or other carriers of her ancestors' mitochondrial DNA.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Valerie:
Hi! I'm just dropping in to say, "Hi!" I was working on my Virginia ancestors and clicked on a profile you submitted. Our of curiosity, I clicked on down the line and ended up at Winn Parish, Louisiana. I am from there. I just corrected a typo on a profile you manage. I changed "Winifield" to "Winnfield."
Hello Valerie, as you have no doubt noticed there are some restrictions on who can create and edit profiles born before 1500. These restrictions have been implemented for some very good reasons. Please don't circumvent the system by creating profiles with a 1500 birth date and then amending the birth date. Thank you.
Thanks for contributing to WikiTree! I just wanted to let you know everyone doesn't have access to the links for Ancestry profiles/sources (such as myself). It is recommended to fully source, not just the link and also if you can find a free version of the source.
Thanks for becoming pre-1700 certified. Now that you will be working on older profiles you will find yourself collaborating more with others. The best way to do this is by joining a project. Have a look at our list of pre-1700 projects and see if any are of interest to you. Give me a shout if you have any questions.
Please can you show your evidence that your "Jenkins" line originates in West Wales, UK. It seems most unlikely. If you have no evidence - please can you unlink your Jenkins line from mine.
You've been a member of WikiTree for about a week so I am checking in to see how it is going. The New Member How-Tos are for you to work at your own pace. If you had time to look, were they helpful?
I'm here to help with questions about how WikiTree works. Just click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page. I'll get back to you by the end of the day.

PS If you create separate tags for your surnames, the tags become clickable links to pages of others who want to collaborate about that surname. With the surnames combined in a tag, that isn't possible.
Welcome! You are now a full member and can add your family to the big tree. Stop by Special: Following to follow each surname as a separate tag with a blurb like "my mother's name" or "migrated to Louisiana."
Start with our New Member How-To pages. They will save you time, energy and frustration as you add your family profiles. Check out Find -> Projects to learn of groups like Project: US Southern Colonies.
We are so happy to have you here in the WikiTree community. Please let me know if you have any questions. I'm always happy to help!

p.s. Sometimes links don't work in emails. If that's happened to you, check the public comments on your profile as the links will work from there.
The confirmation for WikiTree comes to you as an email, so you may need to check your inbox and spam folder. If you cannot find the email, a new confirmation email can be generated at E-mail confirmation problems. Please let me know if you have any questions about anything. :-)

PS If you ever get a "Page Not Found" error when you click a link in a WikiTree email, you can usually find a functioning link in the public comments section of your profile page.
