Biography

Robert Otway was a member of the aristocracy in England.

He was the son of Henry Otway and Sarah Cave, Baroness Braye. He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Leicester between 1826 and 1830.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for County Tipperary in 1832.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for County Tipperary between 1835 and 1844.1 He lived at Castle Otway, County Tipperary, Ireland.2 He lived at Stanford Hall, Lutterworth, England. He married Sophia Burdett, daughter of Sir Francis Burdett, 5th Bt. and Sophia Coutts, on 23 October 1833.2 He died on 29 November 1844, without issue.

After his fathers death both the Baroness and him adopted the surname Otway-Cave and the property passed to Robert.
