Biography

Marie Ouellet was born and baptized on 7 May 1810 in Saint-Ignace-de-Loyola parish in Cap-Saint-Ignace. She was the daughter of Jean Gabriel Ouellet and Elisabeth Fournier. Godparents at Marie's baptism were André Ouellet and Marie Elizabeth Fournier [sic]. At age 35 Marie married Michel Couillard, fisherman and widower of Marie Magdeleine Fournier, on 19 May 1845 in St-Michel parish in Percé. There was one known child born into this marriage.
