Scholastique Ouellet est née le 7 mai 1795 à Saint-André, Kamouraska (Québec), Canada et a été baptisée le lendemain au même endroit, son père Michel Ouellet (1763-1835) avait 31 ans et sa mère Marie Lambert (1765-1848) avait 29 ans.

Lors du baptême de Scholastique, Marie Judith Ouellet a été nommée comme marraine tandis que Benjamin Sirois a été choisi comme parrain. Son nom de baptême est Marie Scholastique Ouellet. ^[1]

Scholastique Ouellet avait 31 ans quand elle a épousé Hilaire Lagacé (1800-1881), 26 ans le 2 octobre 1826 à Saint-André, Kamouraska, Québec, Canada. ^[2]

Son mari Hilaire est décédé le 26 mai 1881 à Rivière-du-Loup, Québec, Canada, à l’âge de 81 ans. Ils étaient mariés depuis 54 ans. Ils ont eu ont onze enfants (sept garçons et quatre filles) entre 1827 et 1845.^[3]

Scholastique est décédée le 21 février 1888, à l’âge de 92 ans, à Rivière-du-Loup au Québec. Elle a été inhumée le 23 février 1888 au même endroit. ^[4]

Scholastique Ouellet was born on May 7, 1795, in Saint-André, Kamouraska (Quebec), Canada and was baptized the next day at the same place, her father Michel Ouellet (1763-1835) was 31 years old and her mother Marie Lambert (1765-1848) was 29 years old.

At the baptism of Scholastique, Marie Judith Ouellet was named as godmother while Benjamin Sirois was chosen as godfather. Her baptismal name is Marie Scholastique Ouellet. ^[1]

Scholastique Ouellet was 31 years old when she married Hilaire Lagacé (1800-1881), 26 years old on October 2, 1826, in Saint-André, Kamouraska, Quebec, Canada. ^[2]

Her husband Hilaire died on May 26, 1881, in Rivière-du-Loup, Quebec, Canada, at the age of 81. They had been married for 54 years. They had eleven children (seven boys and four girls) between 1827 and 1845. ^[3]

Scholastique passed away on February 21, 1888, at the age of 92, in Rivière-du-Loup, Quebec. She was buried on February 23, 1888, in the same place. ^[4]
