Marie Loetitia "Bertha" was born on 25 Nov 1908 in Cutler, Ontario. She was the daughter of Eugene Ouellette and Grace Castagne.

Coullard (1930–1998), Virginia May Coullard (B.1931), Maurice Edmond Coullard (1932–2018), Diane Marie Coullard (1943–1944), and Clarence L. Coullard.

On 08 Jul 1961, after the passing of her husband Leo, Bertha marries Alfred Fortin at St. Mary's Chapel, Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan.
