Thomas passed away in November 1726. His will left bequests to five children: John, Thomas, Samuel, Elizabeth, and Abraham.[2]
Text of will[3]: “To William Selby and hrs., tract adj. “Simapltun.” To wife ---, extx., use of dwell. plan. --- during her widowhood; shd. she marry, use of ½ thereof; 1/3 of personal estate absolutely. To son Thomas and hrs., dwell. plan. --- bequeathed by father, John Outten to possess ½ thereof at age of 18, the whole after his mother’s decease. To son Samuel, personalty when of age. To child., viz. John, Thomas, Samuel, Elizabeth and Abraham, residue of personalty equally. Test: George Truitt, Abraham Outten, Samuel Truitt.
The inventory of his estate was made in April 1727. George Truitt was present as near kin. Sabera (Jones) Outten, Thomas's wife, was the administrator of the estate and swore to the inventory's accuracy in June of 1727.
