Research Notes
No record explicitly states that Thomas's wife was a Porter. It has long been assumed for the following reasons:
Anthony Porter was the overseer of Thomas's will
Katherine Porter was a godmother at the baptism of Thomas's grandchild
The name Anthony was used in the Overbury family
The name Grisgona was used by the Overbury family
The Porters and Overburys were the two leading families in the parish of Mickleton.<[2]
