Timothy Overend was born about 1625, probably in Fangfoss a village between Stamford Bridge and Pocklington on the western edge of the East Yorkshire Wolds. His family were probably already landowners there, because in 1685 he is referred to as Timothy Overend sen. yeoman of Fangfoss and his family clearly own several fertile closes.
In 1661 Timothy Overend married Elizabeth Beilby in Fangfoss. This was almost certainly a second marriage for Timothy. It seems that his son also called Timothy, later married Jane (surname unknown, date & place unknown) and she bears most of the children once attributed in Ancestral File to Jane Towse, but born before Jane Towse marries the youthful grandson in this threesome of Timothy Overends.
Timothy Overend yeoman of Fangfoss died about 1695, probably in Fangfoss, and outliving by ten years or more his son, the husband of Jane Unknown.
OVERENDE in Ancestral File IGI Guglielmus Timothei OVERON, IGI Georgius Timothei OVEREND at baptisms of children.
It seems increasingly likely that Timothy Overend who marries Elizabeth Bielby has a son Timothy (probably before the marriage to Elizabeth). It is this son who later marries a wife Jane, and his children are born by that Jane Unknown and Jane's husband dies before the marriage of their young son Timothy Overend to Jane Towse in 1685.
