The marriage of Timothy Overend to Jane Towse in 1685 is fundamental to understanding this family. The Marriage Settlement made soon after this marriage makes clear the identity and ancestry of the bride and groom https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:Marriage_Settlement_1684_Overend_Towse
Died 29 NOV 1715. Fangfoss, Yorkshire, England.
Note: The Timotheus baptism gives no parentage, but Timothy b 1638/1645 seems a probable father. If Timotheus is the Timothy married to Jane Towse he is either married very young or baptised late, but even if he is not Jane's husband he seems likely to be the father of Timothy born 1694. The marriage to Jane Towse is early (13) if it is of this Timothy but not incredible for the period. Even so, it maybe a late second marriage of Timotheus father. Even if this is the case, Timothy 1694 seems more likely to descend from Timothy 1672 than from his father b ca 1638 (but at latest 1648).
