Elizabeth Overend was born in Yorkshire, England.

Elizabeth was born in Sandholme, Yorkshire, England, and was baptised nearby in Eastrington in 1835. She was the daughter of William Overend and Ann Haldenby.[1] Elizabeth lived in Sandholme with her parents. Her father was a farmer.[2][3]
In 1861 Elizabeth worked as a domestic servant for John Jowitt in Bellasize, Yorkshire.[4] She was a housekeeper for George Laverack in Belby, Yorkshire, in 1871[5] and in Balkholme, Yorkshire, in 1881.[6]
Elizabeth lived alone in Eastrington, Yorkshire, by 1891. She was a farmer.[7][8] In 1911 she was a cow keeper and farmer.[9]
She died in 1914 at the age of 79.[10][11]
