Hannah was born in 1807. 
She was the daughter of Hall Overend of Sheffield, who was a surgeon, and his wife Ruth.
She married Edward Barker, a lead merchant and lecturer in Chemistry and they had 2 children.
Hannah was widowed in 1832. Her husband died aged 32. He was a Quaker and after he died, she baptised her children in the Anglican church.
Hannah died in 1897.
