Sarah Owen was baptised on 26 Oct 1582 at St Michael Bassishaw, City of London, daughter of Thomas Owen, Counsellor[1].
Sarah Owen was a beneficiary of the will of her father Thomas Owen, one of her Majesties Justices of the Common Pleas, the will made on 09 Dec 1598 and proved on 28 Feb 1598/1599[2].
Mistress Sarah Owen married Mr John Newton by Licence on 19 Feb 1603/1604 at Condover, Shropshire[3].
She was noted in the will of her uncle Robert Owen of Shrewsbury, gent, the will made on 14 Mar 1603/1604 and proved on 18 May 1604, as Sara Newton[4].
In the Visitation of Shropshire in 1623[5] she was recorded as the daughter of Thomas Owen and Sara Baskerville, and the wife of John Newton of Heyley, Shropshire.
