When Solomon John Owen was born in 1734 in Prince George, Virginia, his father, Edward, was 29. He married Margaret Joyce Mcintyre Larkin on April 12, 1770, in Duplin, North Carolina. They had one child during their marriage. He died in March 1819 in Chester South, South Carolina, having lived a long life of 85 years.
