John was born in 1860. He was the son of William Owens and Annie Glenn. He passed away in 1894.

OBITUARY. John G. A. Owens. . Mr. John G. A. Owens, aged thirty-four years, died yesterday at his home, 2026 McCulloh street, from typhoid fever. He was a native Baltimorean and was for the past fifteen years engaged in the grain business. Mr. Owens was a member of the firm of Owens & Bro. and was also a member of the Corn and Flour Exchange. President England, of the Exchange, appointed Messrs. E. Clay Timanus, C. S3. Watkins, Richard C. Wells and Joseph S. Hudgins a committee to attend his funeral. A widow and three children survive Mr. Owens.
