Biography
Zachariah was born in 1815.
Zachariah Crane Owens, married twice, first to Leah Sawyer. They had 10 children, 4 sons and 6 daughters.
Zachariah married a second time, to Margaret with unknown last name, in about 1867. They had 3 children, 2 sons and a daughter. A tragic house fire consumed the entire family while they were living in their swamp cabin, in East Lake, Dare County, North Carolina. The family was buried in what became known as "The Zachariah Owens Cemetery" in East Lake, Dare County, North Carolina.
He passed away on 22 Apr 1880.[1]
