Biography

Mason Owens was born in 1798 ^[1] in Mercer County, Kentucky; the son of Jeremiah Fielding Owens and Sarah ‘Sally’ Moss. ^[2]

He married Phebe Durham in Mercer County in 1821, officiated by Rev James Durham. ^{[3] [4] [5] [6]}

The Mason Owens-Phebe Durham family lived in the Shaker community in 1830, as did Phebe’s parents. ^[7]

Mason Owens died in 1842 in Boyle County. ^[8]
