Biography
James L. Owens was the oldest son of Richard W. and Nancy Garoutte Owens. He was a pvt in Co E3 Missouri Confederate Cavalry. He was killed at the battle of Pea Ridge, Arkansas.
NOTE* There is a marker in Garoutte Cemetery for James but he is actually buried at Pea Ridge.
