Notes

I could not find Stephen on the 1871 England Census. However, on the 1881 England Census, his occupation is listed as a Waterman. I believe he may have been at sea at the time of the 1871 Census.

On the 1911 England Census, Mary Ann states that she had a total of 11 children, with 8 children still living at the time.

In the British Army WWI Service Records, 1914-1920, Stephen listed his age as 46 years old (1869). I believe he lied about his age so that he could fight in World War I. He served from 12 Oct 1915 to 6 Jul 1916.
