Biography

Andrew was born about 1843, Ireland, he is the son of Edmund O’Keefe and Ellen Unknown.[1]

The O'Keefe family was in Massachusetts at least five years, for on the 1860 census record of Northfield, Franklin, Massachusetts, Father: Edmund O'Keefe was 45, Ireland, Mother: Ellen was 50, Ireland, Andrew was 15, Ireland, and he had a brother, David age 5 born in Massachusetts.[2]

Andrew O'Keefe age 22, Ireland, married Honora Roach, age 20, Ireland, on April 22, 1865, Springfield, Hampden, MA. (Record has Edmund O'Keefe as his father) [3]

In the 1865 census, Springfield, Hampden, Massachusetts, Andrew is 23 and Hanna/Honora is 22. [4]

In 1880, Springfield, Hampden, Massachusetts, Andrew is 38, working in Cotton Wast., wife: Honora is 36, their children: Edward W. is 13, David is 11, Jeremiah is 8, Catherin is 5 and James is 1. [5]
