Note from "Ye OLD BURYING GROUND IN FAIRFIELD, CONN." by Mrs. Kate Perry:
"Mrs. Fish... was Rebecca Pabodie of Duxbury, Mass., and a great grand daughter of John Alden of the May Flower. After the death of her husband, Re. Joseph Fish, who died in Stonington, in 1781, for fifty years a pastor of the second church in that place, she removed to Fairfield, where she resided with her daughter, Mrs. Gen. Gold S. Silliman, till her death. A monument in Stonington commemorates the Rev. Joseph Fish, his wife and three daughters."
