Biography

Source 1: Wife, Emma's record of death is end of marriage.

Source 2: Marriage record says he was 21yrs old at the time of this 1869 marriage, that his name was Charles T. Packard; that he was a farmer born in Erving, Franklin, Massachusetts and that his parents were Emery & Sarah Packard. (father's 1st name could be Ewing; difficult to read penmanship).

Source 3: The 1880 US Census of Erving, Franklin, Massachusetts finds this Charles F. at the age of 32yrs old and given as a farmer born in Massachusetts, living there with his wife given as 27yr old Emma and a daughter, Stella E. Packard, 1yrs old.

Source 4: Official State of Massachusetts Death Certificate gives his full name as Charles F. Packard says he was born in Erving, Franklin, Massachusetts, says he was born March 21, 1848 to parents Emory (sic?) Packard & Sarah Cowan; says he died in Farley, Erving, Franklin, Massachusetts on October 30, 1920 of vascular disease of the heart; says his spouse was Emma Hatstat.

Source 5: The 1870 US Census of Erving, Franklin, Massachusetts finds this Charles F. Packard at the age of 22yrs old and given as working on a farm and born in Massachusetts, living there with his wife, 17yr old Emma in a household headed by his father, Emery Packard and also including his mother, Sarah and a young child with unknown connection to the family.

Source 6: The 1900 US Census of Erving, Franklin, Massachusetts finds this Charles Packard given as 50yrs old and born in Massachusetts in March of 1848, (conflicts other sources), living there with his wife, Emma, daughter, Stella A., son, Clarence B. and Charles' father, Emery.

Source 7: The 1910 US Census of Erving, Franklin, Massachusetts finds this Charles F. Packard as a 61yr old married farmer, living there as head of household in a home also containing his 56yr old wife Emma A., their 31yr old single daughter, Stella A., and a 64yr old brother-in-law, given as Lucius Hatstal," (sic)...Emma's brother.

Source 8: The 1920 US Census of Erving, Franklin, Massachusetts finds this Charles F. Packard at the age of 71yrs old, living there and given as head of household, in a household that only contains he and "roomers/boarders."
