Biography
SAR Application; National Number 76738; state Number 5641; Pennsylvania
Served as Lieutenant at the Lexington & Rhode Island Alarm. Was commissioned Captain 1776 under Colonel Edward Mitchell.
Nathan was born in 1733, the third of 11 children of Solomon Packard and Susanna Kingman. He married Martha D Perkins in 1763. They had six children.
This Nathan Packard, who married Martha Perkins, should not be confused with the other Nathan Packard also born in 1733, who married Lydia Jackson. The 1840 History of the Early Settlement of Bridgewater clearly states that the former Nathan was the son of Solomon Packard, and the latter Nathan was the son of Zachariah Packard.
He died in 1772.
