John Philip Packer followed in the footsteps of his father Philip Packer, and became Usher of the Receipt of Exchequer, Keeper of the Star Chamber and Master of Groombridge Place. [1]
He died in 1697 at the age of 42. Like his father he is buried in the church at Groombridge. [2]
