Jerusha Packer, born 9 Jun 1811 at Groton, Connecticut, was a daughter of Delight Ashby (1733-) and Lodowick Packer (1775-). She may have been a namesake for an earlier born (1799) sibling who had died.
Jerusha married John A. Wolfe at Groton [1]. Children of this family were listed in the 1850 census of Groton [2]:
John Wolf, age 14
Harriet Wolf, age 9
Mary E. Wolf, age 7
The same composition of this family was captured in the 1860 census of Groton [3].
Jerusha (Packer) Wolfe died 13 Apr 1891 [4]. Her grave is in Packer Cemetery, West Mystic, New London County, Connecticut, USA [5].
Notes
Birth dates for Jerusha vs. her sister Hannah are puzzling, both ostensibly being born in 1811. The grave marker for Hannah is explicit as to her age at death, calculating to her birth on 9 November 1811. The grave marker for Jerusha is heavily eroded, thus illegible from the depicted image, however the cited death & burial record does give her birth date as June 19, 1811. Presuming that they were from the same mother, one of the records must be incorrect.
