He moved with his parents and sister to Whiteside county, Illinois. They were in Portland in that county in 1860.[2]
He married Mary Jane Paddock in 1861 in Whiteside, Illinois. They had one daughter, Mattie. Mary Jane may have been a cousin or second cousin.
They were in Prophetstown, Whiteside, Illinois in 1880.[3]
Daniel and Mary were alone in Prophetstown in 1900.[4]
He passed away in 1917 in Prophetstown, Whiteside, Illiinois.[5]
