Funeral services for John S. Padgett, 94, of Jackson, Tenn., will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday from Pine Grove Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery in Simpson county.

He died Saturday in a Jackson, Tenn. hospital.

He leaves three sons, Milton and Andrew Padgett, both of Magee, Rev. Barney Padgett, Brookhaven; three daughters, Mrs. Rosie Cook, Jackson, Mrs. C. H. Donell, Jackson, Tenn., Mrs. Melton [sic, s/b Belton] Ates, Indianola; four brothers, Dennis and Gaddis Padgett, both of Laurel, Doc Padgett, Jackson, Jess Padgett, Louisiana; one sister, Mrs. Bell Brock, Sterlington, La.; 14 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren.
