Emily (Padmore) Tinkler was born in Leicestershire, England.

Emily Dinah Padmore was born in 1848 in Long Clawson, Leicestershire, England ^[1] and baptised there on 12 November 1848. She was the daughter of John Padmore and Mary Walker. ^[2][3][4]

Emily Padmore was married to Robert Tinkler in 1873 in Melton Mowbray District, Leicestershire, England. ^[5]

In 1891, Robert Tinkler (58, ag. lab) and his wife, Emily (45) were living in Church Street, Scalford, Leicestershire with six children, Emily (13), William (11), John (9), Frederick (6), Minnie (4) and Ernest (1). ^[6]

In 1901, Robert Tinkler (69, a hawker) and his wife, Emily (56) had one son still at home, Ernest (11). ^[7]

In 1911, Robert (82, a hawker) and his wife, Emily (66, helper in the business) had two sons, William (30, single, a quarryman) and Ernest (21, single, labourer on farm) living with them. They have been married 39 years and had eight children, one of whom had died. Note: There is no address on the document, but the documents either side have an address of Scalford, Leicestershire, so it would be a reasonable assumption that that is where they were living, given they had been previously living there. ^[8]

Emily's husband, Robert Tinkler died in 1914 in Melton Mowbray District, Leicestershire. ^[9]
