Biography

Catherine was born about 1890. She is the daughter of Henry Page and Catherine McLachlan. She passed away in South Australia during 1973.

Catherine married William Lionel Ayliffe in Magill, South Australia on 22 January 1914.^[1]

Making their home at Kingscote, South Australia, the couple had five sons and two daughters. Three of their sons died during the Second World War, Burt in May 1941 as a POW in Italy, Jim KIA in November 1942 in Sanananda, Papua and Clem died of illness in Gona, Papua in January 1943.

Catherine died in South Australia on 17 July 1973 at the age of 84 years.^[2]

Catherine was buried at the Kingscote Cemetery in Kingscote, South Australia on 19 July 1973.^[3][4]
