Born in the Colony of Van Dieman's Land [1]

Alfred was born to parents Samuel Page & Grace Harrison on 26 Dec 1843 at Oatlands, Van Diemen's Land, Australia.

His father Samuel Page was a prominent business man in Tasmania.

He wed Jane (Wilson) Page at Saint Andrews Presbyterian Church, Hobart, Tasmania ^[1] on the 06 Jun 1867, he was 24 and she was 23 ^{[2] [3]}

Alfred himself became a politician. In 1887 he was elected to the Tasmanian Legislative Council as the member for Macquarie, serving until his retirement in 1909 ^{[4] [5]}
