Axel Heath Page, son of Joseph Page, was born 3 Apr 1785 in Virginia.[1] His mother's name is not known. He may have been born in Amherst County, Virginia, as a Joseph Page was taxed there in the 1780s through 1795.[2] One Joseph Page appears in the Caroline County, Virginia, tax lists in 1798-1803.
Axelheath married 12 Apr 1807 in Amherst County, Virginia, to Sarah T. "Sally" Innes. They were the parents of the following children:
In 1805, Axelheath was granted 200 acres by the State of Kentucky. The tract was on Parkers Fork of Gasper River in Warren County. He was granted other tracts in 1809 and 1818. He apparently left Virginia by 1809, as he appears on the 1810 census as "Alex" Page, and on the 1820 census. He was taxed on land from 1811 through 1824. In 1827 he sold land in Warren County to Francis A Burge, and moved to Lafayette County, Missouri.
He died 20 Aug 1840 in Lafayette County, Missouri.
