Biography
Chesley Page was born Jan. 2, 1801 in Lee County, Virginia.
He married Martha Smith about 1824 in Lee County, Virginia where they were both natives. Soon after their marriage, they moved to Hendricks County, Indiana where they became the parents of nine children; Sarah R., Mrs. Riley Benefiel; Elizabeth, Mrs. Lyman Herrington of Coffeyville; Peter M.; David, who died in infancy; Eppie J., wife of Samuel Hypes; Mary M., wife of Andrew J. Page, of Hendricks County, Indiana; Eliza; Eudotia, Mrs. George Duckworth; and Emily A., Mrs. John Buchannon.[1]
They were prominent members of the Methodist Church.
Chesley Page died on Dec. 22, 1862 in Hendricks County, Indiana.
