Laura was born in Hahndorf, South Australia during 1878. She is the daughter of James Thomas Pain and Auguste Ernestine Wilhelmina Maetze. She passed away in Brighton, South Australia during 1957.

Laura was born in Hahndorf, South Australia on 19 April 1878.^[1] The following birth notice was published in the South Australian newspaper, The Evening Journal, on 26 April 1878:^[2]

PAIN.—On the 19th April, at Hahndorf, the wife of James Pain, Port Augusta, of a daughter.

Laura married Ernest Edgar Moody in Hamilton, South Australia on 6 February 1926.^[3] The following marriage notice was published in the South Australian newspaper, The Register, on 17 April 1926:^[4]

MOODY — PAIN. — On the 6th February, at St. Matthew's, Hamilton, by the Rev. J. Price, Edgar Moody, Light Brook, Hansborough, to Laura Martha Augusta Pain, The Acacias, Ambleside.

Laura died in Brighton, South Australia on 25 October 1957 at the age of 79 years.^[5]

Laura was buried at the Kapunda General Cemetery in Kapunda, South Australia.^[6][7]
