Meta was born near Hahndorf, South Australia during 1887. She is the daughter of James Thomas Pain and Auguste Ernestine Wilhelmina Maetze. She passed away in Kapunda, South Australia during 1958.

Meta was born near Hahndorf, South Australia on 19 July 1887.^[1]

Meta married Samuel Hyde Moody in Ambleside, South Australia on 31 March 1923.^[2] The following marriage notice was published in the South Australian newspaper, The Express, on 5 June 1923:^[3]

MOODY—PAIN.—On the 31st March, at St Paul's Church, Ambleside, hy the Rev. J. Reynolds, Samuel H., fourth son of Mrs. and the late David Moody, of Hansborough, to Minnie M., third daughter of Mrs. and the late J. T. Pain, of Ambleside.

Meta died in Kapunda, South Australia on 7 March 1958 at the age of 70 years.^[4]

Meta was buried at the Kapunda Cemetery in Kapunda, South Australia.^[5]
