Biography

Joseph was born 29 March 1697, the son of Joseph Paine and Patience Sparrow.[1]

Children

Joseph and Hannah (Huckins) Paine had the following (8) children:[2]

  1. James, born 29 January 1720/1; married Patience Crosby
  2. Sarah, born 12 September 1723; died unmarried in 171
  3. Samuel born 26 June 1726; married Sarah Mayo, and Mary (Freeman?)
  4. Jonathan, born 15 August 1729; died young
  5. Joseph, born 9 August 1731; married Sarah Smith
  6. Hannah, born 5 July 1735; married Edward Bangs
  7. Jonathan, born 26 March 1739; married Rebecca Clark
  8. Lydia, born 16 April 174; died unmarried in 1771
